More About Me
I have worked in service roles for fifteen years, and have found my passion as a psychotherapist. My commitment to service, social justice, and equality was instilled growing up in the Quaker community and reinforced in my academic career at the small liberal arts Quaker College, Earlham. Following graduation I worked for several years as an Early Head Start Home Visitor in Portland, Oregon, and then joined the United States Peace Corps and served for 3 years in Costa Rica. My early professional and volunteering experiences deepened my commitment to finding ways to support and nurture individual and community capacity for growth and change.
These experiences led me back to graduate school at the University of Michigan where I earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW) and a Masters in Public Health (MPH). I completed my post-graduate clinical fellowship at the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry and then worked as a staff clinician for the Department for 5 years. I transitioned full time to private practice work in 2021.
