My Approach
As a therapist I feel privileged to be a part of your journey towards healing and wellness. I work from a strengths-based perspective, helping each person to find and connect with their own innate wisdom, while providing opportunities to learn and practice more effective coping and communication skills. My goal is to help you address both specific problems as well as understand and navigate the underlying causes.
My own practice of mindfulness allows me to be fully present and attuned to your emotional experience while creating an atmosphere of support, safety and calm.
I have training in a wide range of modalities including, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Parts Work, and Mindfulness.
My areas of clinical interest and specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, relationship difficulties, and navigating challenging emotions.
